Renee LaCroix

Renee LaCroix brings both lived experience and professional expertise to her role as a board member of WayMakers to Recovery. She began her career in the culinary arts, spending more than ten years in the field before her own recovery journey became a pivotal turning point. Achieving sobriety not only transformed her personal life but also inspired a renewed sense of purpose and service.

Motivated by a desire to give back and support others navigating recovery, Renee returned to school to pursue a career in behavioral health. She earned a bachelor's degree and became a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), followed by a master's degree and licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Her work is grounded in the integration of clinical training and firsthand understanding of addiction and mental health challenges.

As a board member, Renee is deeply committed to advancing WayMakers' mission by reducing stigma, elevating the voices of individuals with lived experience, and advocating for accessible, personcentered recovery supports. She is passionate about fostering safe, inclusive spaces, promoting holistic approaches, and strengthening community connections to support individuals and families on their recovery journeys.
